Friday, Feb. 18, 2011-Luciano Barbara scored a 6-3 win over Grand Champions Friday afternoon in the 4-chukker 2011 Audi Winter Challenge Cup at the Grand Champions Polo club in Wellington, Florida.
Opening goals by Juan Bollini and Andrew Seibert had Luciano Barbera ahead 2-1, with Grand champions being held to a single goal from the field from Joey Casey.
The pace of the game picked up in the second with Juancito Bollini getting on the scoreboard for Grand Champions with a well-placed neck shot through the goal posts before goals from Tommy Biddle and Seibert extended the Luciano Barbera lead to 4-2.
The scoring in the fourth chukker was limited to a single penalty shot for a goal from Joey Casey as both teams concentrated on their defense, and the chukker ended with Luciano holding on to a narrow 4-3 advantage.
Juan Bollini opened the fourth chukker with a 75-yard shot for a goal, and Seibert scored his third goal of the game to silence the Grand Champions team in a 6-3 Luciano Barbera win.
Andrew Seibert led allscoring with three goals on the day. Juan Bollini added two goals to the Luciano Barbera total and teammate Tommy Biddle scored a goal in the win.
Joey Casey led the Grand Champions attack with a pair of goals. Juancito Bollini was also credited with a goal in the loss.
