We are continuing to update the new www.grandchampionspoloclub.com website with past results, the teams and photos from club action this past spring and fall. We have posted over 150 photos on the web of the members in action during the Fall and Spring of this year. Enjoy the shots. The GCPC webmaster will organize the Fall photos by tournament last this year. So please check it out – and give thanks to the work of Alex Pacheco as well from Alex Photography.
Also, we will be publishing the schedule for the March “18 Goal Masters Series” which we will co-host with The Port Mayaca Polo Club from March 5th to March 30th. Invitations will go out this week. We are pleased and proud to be partnering with our friends at Port Mayaca in this exciting series of trophies that will culminate with the $25,000 CUP OF THE PALM BEACHES. The Series is a true partnership between two South Florida Polo Clubs and we hope other clubs will follow our lead in partnering up for fun and competitive polo. We are limiting the month long league to 8 teams. First paid, first serve. We have four entries already accounted for as of today, so please move quickly, as there are only four spots remaining. Please call the club for entry information!
Lastly, the 2008 Spring Season dates are final. The club will open for practice the first week of May and our season will run for six weeks. Our first tournament games will be played on May 8th and the last final will be played on June 8th, 2008. We welcome back all of our patrons and wish to thank our corporate partners: La Martina, Polo Gear, Audi of America, Southfields Realty, US Trust, FlexJet Bombardier, Alex Photography and Braman Motorscars of the Palm Beaches for their many contributions. Many of our club members will be returning to play such as Kris Kampsen, Brandon Phillips, Juan Boillini, JJ Celis, Nick Roldan, Julio Ezcurra and many others that we have started discussions with this past weekend. The Spring series will be very exciting and played at the 12-14 goal level, as we have done in the last spring and fall leagues. Invitations for the Spring League will go in the next few weeks.
