SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY- Being one of the four oldest polo associations in the United States, the Saratoga Polo Association has a storied past, and on August 12th and 14th, they will honor the history of all the polo greats with the Ram Hall of Fame Challenge Cup at the Whitney Field in Greenfield Center.
“The tournament, which was established to benefit the National Museum of Polo and Hall of Fame, travels every year to a different field in America, and this year, we are honored to have the national spotlight on Saratoga,” said Jim Rossi, Managing Partner at the Saratoga Polo Association. “Having Chrysler as a presenting sponsor for the season, and Ram as the tournament sponsor proves that the caliber of polo played here is at the top of the game.”
On the field, everyone knows that the action is always fast and exciting, and in the stands, food and drinks are king, so on Friday August 12th, as part of the Hall of Fame Weekend, guests in the stands will get a chance to show how good of a snack chef they are with the “Dip In The Road Tailgate Snack Challenge”. Folks along the sidelines are invited to make their favorite dip, and could be named Snack Chef Extraordinaire by guest judges George DuPont and Brenda Lynn from the Museum of Polo and Hall of Fame.
Game time is 5:30pm, with gates opening at 4pm. Saratoga Polo Association is located at 2 Bloomfield Road in Greenfield Center. Both Clubhouse and General Admission tailgate tickets are available for purchase at saratogapolo.com.
