It is just another cool day in the late Summer of Santa Barbara or really Carpinteria but it is also the biggest day of the year for SBPolo Club and it all starts tomorrow at 2 pm. It has taken these two teams about a year to come up with he right nix you might say although one has been about 3 weeks in the making .
Piaget started one way and came out another but like the fine time they are so did their team it was a very nice change of time . Miguel Astrada has been the ticker on this clock and he has , Well made it TICK they are defintley on time these days . Let’s have a look at the finalist. Piaget looks like this :
Boss Lady . Melisia Ganzi : Probably the bettr 1/2 of the Ganzi combo has worked hard and been a leading Patroness for the sport of Polo and she works hard to make it happen, and she is doing it now.
Jason Crowder I like this because he is also my Son but he does not need me he is doing well and the combo with Miguel is making him stand out like last year with AC when he won MVP for the finals, he will be a big factor tomorrow if it is clicking it will be tough to stop.
Miguel Astrada Well he was 10 for a long time and he maybe 10 again soon as him and Sebe Merlos maybe the most underrated players here. He has been a super leader and very willing to do what he has to with the package he has and always stressing to make it better . And he is !
Juan Boleni might easily be the main reason this team is getting so much better so fast. People told me when I said I was going to help them I was going to have a problem with Juan , well nice problem he has become the Secretary OF Defense for this team he is always in position and it is a roadblock for the offense . He has been the Powder for the bullets in front of him . I know they are saying tomorrow it will be different > Do not bet on it ? He is there and he will be there .
Looking at the defending CHAMPS
John Muse – steady solid and determined he always doe his job and as it is often unseen it is done quietly and correctly.
Julio Gracida – Has a double value he is very good and he has a POP with a few extra horses which showed up for the semis also giving the team a big edge Julio like to run to goal and he does it well.
Jeff Blake well he has never had a bad game where someone thought he was overrated and he probably has won more tournaments than any active player today and most people just know he is a very good guy but he has also combined with AC to win the US Open at least twice and has handful of PCO hanging on the wall he will be there tomorrow for sure .
Adolfo Cambiaso well he is also simply the best Polo Player on the planet and few will argue that, but he has had a bad year in the finals he is 0 and 2 , not bad for most two tournaments and two finals but last year he never lost here or anywhere for a year. Will it be 0 and 3 I hope so I coach the other team but I have to say he does have the edge . But we did not come here to be here we came here to rock and roll .
THE FINALS MAYBE A BLOWOUT BUT I DOUBT IT I THINK IT WILL BE A VERY GOOD GAME AND EITHER WAY ALL INVOLVED DESERVE TO BE HERE IF THE REFS. DO THERE JOB THIS COULD BE AVERYYY GOOD GAME .
