Mostly good news today. The 2 horses from the 52nd and Madison stabling area tested negative for EHV-1 of any strain. They are already back in their own stalls. The one remaining horse in isolation had a near normal temperature this morning but again had a fever in the afternoon. It exhibits no nasal discharge or any neurologic signs. Samples were submitted this morning with results expected tomorrow evening.
Two bullets dodged, one more in the chamber….for now. Think positive and do not let up on checking your horses. We are getting closer but we are far from safe.
