Sarasota Polo Club completed their first of five 12-goal tournaments Sunday February 26th.
M & I Wealth Management controlled the game from the first throw in. Their strong defense and fast paced game was no match for Hillcroft who struggled to stay in the game during the first half. At half time M & I Wealth Management led 9-3. However as they often do, Hillcroft regrouped at halftime and came out guns blazing and slowly but surely ate away at their opponents strong lead. Still down by 1 goal as the 30 second horn went, they Hillcroft got possession of the ball and went straight down the field to score and tie the game with less than 10 seconds on the clock.
The over time chukker was full of penalties and both teams had their chances to score from the field as well as the penalty line, but the game ended on an open goal conversion by James Miller, giving his Hillcroft team the win 11-10.
