The Team USPA program Partnered with Sugar and Gaston due to Sugar’s commitment to the Team USPA program in the U.S and success as a professional player. Sugar has spent the past ten years cultivating a breeding program in Argentina and has offered Team USPA a chance to train and play in La Pampa Argentina. Sugar credits playing in Argentina as one of the contributing factors to his success in high goal polo.
Sugar spoke to the Zach, Will and Jorge before they left and in his words told them the following :
“The playing experience in Argentina will shape you mentally. You will learn how to affect a polo game from playing with these better players” he also told them “You will gain insight into the Argentine polo culture that you would never have had the opportunity in the United States by submerging yourself into the business of Polo.”
