Regional Polo Center Intern Program – Sarasota Polo Club’s 2013 polo season has kept 24 yr old RPC intern graduate Megan Flynn busier then expected. After completing the Regional Polo Center’s training program at the Houston Polo Club with Mark Prinsloo, and finishing an internship with Eric Wright and Kris Bowman in polo management and polo instruction, Megan loaded up her lesson horses and headed to Florida to put her newly acquired polo skills to the test. As one of the top polo managers in the US, Sarasota Polo Club’s manager Rebecca Gutierrez took intern Megan under her wing, offering sage advise on smooth club management and effective lesson structure. “Originally, Megan was supposed to shadow me and learn everything it takes to run a club, but an opportunity came up and now we have her running the polo school in addition to everything else. She is doing a great job” exclaims Rebecca. Megan hopes to one day run a polo school like Mark Prinsloo’s at Houston Polo Club. Next Up: Ethan Gallis, the new RPC intern in training.
