It’s finals time for the Hampton’s as old California favorite Mariano Gonzalez heads to the finals. Unfortunately he has to deal with another Mariano and White Birch, who have seldom lost this year in the Northeast High-Goal, but cheer for him and Equellis anyway. On the West Coast down in Del Mar, where the surf meets the turf and they love a party, it was PrettyLady Lisa Bosstick and company taking on Dirk the – and Alisha. I hear Dirk was really a star yesterday buying a couple of cases of beer and then doing something that sounds impossible, but they said he took out both goal posts and scored for the other team all in one play. Now I do hope there is a video of this. Anyway there is a big game for the Spreckels 6 at 2 pm on Sunday. So join the Party.
Here at Santa Barbara PC they are headed to the final four and there are 5 teams with a chance and 3 without. Its bound to be fun in the Sun @ fabulous Piocho Ranch, where Mr. Barrack gets to play at home against Mr. Muse and Lucchese. It will be a little family fun as the Gracidas battle it out. With a win, Lucchese is in the semi finals. Also at 10 am its Audi the 3 and 0 team with a tough decision as they meet the Stick of Nick’s and Rotunda Spinachi and a very hungry ERG team. ERG’s Patron Scott Woods had the knife yesterday and is not feeling as good as he would here on the Gold Coast, but he is the Patron of the Month for continuing to support his team. If Audi wins they are in. If they do not win, then it’s a numbers game. At 1 PM 2 and 1 Zacara, who may need a big win and maybe not against Klentner/Grand Champion, all depends on the 10 am game. Then sitting in the stands will be Jeff Hall trying to figure out how hard he has to go vs. a very tough Long Beach. He has a lot of goals on his net, but he still has to get Danny and Jeff and that’s not a done deal. He plays with Grant’s Farm at 3 PM against his frequent teammate Jeff Blake who will know exactly what he is up against or not.
Across the pond its Ahmibah going for the triple of Spain. They have the Bronze and the Silver as Jeffri and the speedy man Pablo McDonough try to continue their success as they smoked Los Monjitas by 5, but they have a Spanish connection to deal with to get the Gold. They take on Ayala with Inigo Zobel and sometimes Spaniard and always a sensation David (Pelon ) Sterling. It all that takes place on this final weekend of August. So wherever you are go to POLO.
See ya.
