The Polo Report

WE FINALLY HAVE A CHANCE TO VOICE OUR OPINION OR AT LEAST TRY TO, SO DO IT!!
I usually think it is best in polo to have a Dictator, but not so in this case. We already have a few special people who control it all and that would be fine if POLO was what they worked on! BUT most are not paid to spend some time on polo, but it is not their job. Polo is their hobby. A hobby is a hobby and some of us try to make it better, but most let someone else worry about the details. This is why more people make sense and shorter terms in offices because like our Government. you get a few dominant individuals in offices and they are really the bosses. It is their way and that is it. Because if you stand against, it is futile. More People give an opportunity to gather some support and most of the individuals on the list are from the right side of polo. They are really involved in it. We need a lot less politics and people in the drivers seat who are being seen, not heard. I believe this is a step in making American polo. Mostly American, not the sponsors of every other polo playing nation.
Take it down to 22-goals and in some cases up to 22 and allow a year-round organization to exist. All teams will have 2 Americans on it and in 3 years all teams have 3 Americans unless they are over 5 goals.
IT IS TRUE. IT IS CALLED THE UNITED STATES POLO ASSOCIATION. Maybe these people will remember where they came from. I know several of them and they do know polo a lot better than a lot of them running it now. There are probably 4 Patron’s in the USA who will fight this, but they actually play 26-goal because it is supposed to be the best and they cannot say they are in 12 % of the actual play for the most part. So should these 4 people and I doubt there are four, disagree with this plan? Should these People run Polo? Well, they do because our Association lets them run our sport. Lets hear your opinion.
