It could be said the first half just really does not matter in Polo or most sports.
That was so true today as the two favorites raced away to three goal leads only to find out the second half is what really matters .
Today in the 1 p.m. semi it was Restoration Hardware better known as Mansour and the # 1 in the round robin not really threatened in any of there previous games, jumping all over Lucchese to lead by 3 maybe 4 at one time going into the fifth chukkar feeling pretty good about it all but 10 goal star Pelon had been setting a slow pace to the game most of it and preventing RH from getting flying and they kept scoring 2 a chukkar and never getting the open field but still ahead as RH has speed from the Patron Big Ben and the Bolt Uloa there is so much speed and Mr. Snow can still boogie but I think Pelon was saving ground and waiting for his horses as he never had to play his best that hard and had lot’s of power in the finish and they came out smoking and Big John was a cougar on a man so he had some time and they blew the wind right out of RH in the 5th and RH could not recover and Lucchese sails of to ther 4th straight final in the PCO where they meet another TEXAS Team from Houston with another Big Man at the front Scott Wood and his ERG team is headed to there 2nd final in 4 years. They were also the underdogs against the history laden Gracida Brothers Memo and Carlos who dominated the first 4 chukkars in grand style but then Mr Blake took control passing to Sugar and he was sweet as well as a rocking Paco who was going forward with a mind over matter and getting it done and they roared into a tie and just kept moving ahead until it as by 3 and gave up an uncontested goal with 8 seconds left to win by 2 Mr Wood much like H. Muse did a very good job taking out big guns at the right time with key support for there guns so Sunday should be fun JM goes for his fourth and SW intends to stop the run . It is definitely a battle of the Lone Star J.Muse is from Dallas and S.Wood is from Houston.
IT WILL BE A SHOOTOUT SO BE THEREEEEE SUNDAY SEPT. 1,2013
