New 2014 Team USPA Selections: Branden Van Loon (New York), Brandon Rease (Pennsylvania), Carly Persano (Connecticut), Cody Ellis (Oklahoma), Gates Gridley (Connecticut), Jim Wright (California), Julia Smith (Pennsylvania), Loreto Natividad (Texas), Max Langlois (New York), Russell Stimmel (Texas), Sebastian Aycinena (Florida), and Wyatt Harlow (Virginia)

Four years ago the Team USPA program was born in response to the decline of young American polo players.

Team USPA is a program managed by USPA Polo Development LLC, that identifies young, talented players and provides mentored training opportunities from top professionals that will help them reach their maximum potential in the sport.

Members of Team USPA represent all 13 USPA circuits. Team USPA members take the tools we provide them with back to their home clubs and are committed to enhancing the game at the local level through instruction, umpiring, coaching, and playing.

Each year Team USPA selects new talent to be added to the program. This year, twelve players out of a pool of applications were chosen to meet in Wellington, Florida and try out for the program.

After four days of intensive training with some of the biggest names in the sport, it was decided that all twelve candidates had earned themselves a spot on Team USPA.
