A bit of rain slowed down the progress of the qualifier matches. They battle it out in one final day, Wednesday, to see who gets to play with the bigboys. Alegría and the 3 gringos get another day to fire up the burners. Julio Zavaleta, their coach, will be driving them to make it two years in a row to qualify and participate in the Hurlingham and Argentine Opens. That would be awesome!

After a rain delay, the Sunday Tortugas Open game was moved to today (Tuesday, 29th ’08). La Aquada takes on Black Watch. It should be a busy couple of days down south in Argentina. The weather has ben brilliant there so far this spring in BA. There is a lot of polo happening right now.
Over here, The Villages Polo Season begins with a $50,000 Cup and it will be a high-goal match. There is a semi in Aiken on Wed. in their first high-goal tournament of the season.
As the days get shorter here it’s the Ladies up in San Diego. The 8-goal is growing in Santa Barbara after 3 teams in the first tournament. There are 5 in this next tournament. Dudley’s Casa Blanca joins the battle and tries to defend their title from last year. It’s Big Ben Solemani back on the West Coast as he takes the helm of Mansour.
