They are still playing Polo in Aiken, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Florida and some in California.  The big seasons are getting underway in the southern hemisphere. Is the Economy going to hurt polo? I would guess so unless we can get all the fired CEO’s  from Countrywide, Lehmans, Washington Mutual and Fannie May to take to make up the difference.  Polo could have a full house. Is it not a bit strange that Mike Vick goes to prison for dog fighting,  Pete Rose is punished forever for gambling,  but these other CEO thieves make Enron and Exxon not look so bad. All of these companies, including Exxon, have punished people for working hard.  They send many employees to the streets and prison by cheating them out of life or money.  Their predicament makes these employees desperate enough to do bad things.  Heck, Paris Hilton got more punishment than these CEO’s who have run companies into the ground with their bad decisions, yet they walk away with millions.  It’s quite a world we live in today.

Back to the polo world.   Brigadoon won in Aiken.  Tracee Mulvaney and Kelly Maloney won in San Diego.  Smokin’ Joe and his young guy team won in Santa Barbara.  Down south in Argentina,  there is a big tournament final coming up.  Ellerstina, minus Pablo, take on the Astrada Clan.  It should be interesting and a sign of things to come. Although without Pablo it will be a definite blow to Ellerstina’s power.  They have Lucas Criado subbing for Pablo.  It is not as smooth with the Criado, but he has been there before.

Eldorado Polo Club has a new GM.  Her name is Jan Hart and she seems to be up to the task of relining the walls with new faces. Up in Santa Barbara Arye took the reins from departing Daniel and now its all Ladies in command positions of our Polo Club’s here in California. Heather Chronert is the Big Kahuna and a very good one at SDPC.  Maybe Polo will grow in Southern California yet. Wherever you’re headed where they play polo nearby, so stop in and say hi.

See ya.
