LONDON’S ultimate Polo tournament, Chestertons Polo In The Park, has teamed up with top new city restaurant venue M as their official restaurant partner for the event on June 5-7th in Hurlingham.

M restaurants is fully embracing the polo season by turning the M Bar into the ‘Chukka Lounge’, decorated with polo mallets, saddles and a turfed floor. M Restaurants have created a unique cocktail to mark the season, The Mallet Martini, that customers can sip whilst watching classic polo matches screened in the lounge.

For those who want a slice of the action before June, customers are being given the chance to join an exclusive dinner with polo players from around the globe, including archrivals England and South America. The dinner on the 21st April will be an evening of polo fun and games, starting with a Chukkas-a-clock cocktail reception, followed by a delicious three-course dinner in M.

Throughout May and leading up to the event, M will be offering a Polo Inspired Lunch Menu. The Polo 28, two-courses plus coffee, served in 28 Minutes for 28 Pounds which takes inspiration from the greatest Polo fields and Players from around the world.

Chestertons Polo In The Park is set to be a three-day sporting spectacle with a vibrant party atmosphere and thrilling polo on display. This year in particular is incredibly exciting as it will be the first since 1939 that England has played at Hurlingham Park, the ‘spiritual home of polo’. This event has now firmly established itself as one of London’s hottest tickets and M are offering their customers a very special five pound discount for Chestertons Polo In The Park on Friday and Sunday. There are also tickets available for Friday evening for a mere £10, perfect for those looking for something fun and unusual to do after work.

Now in its seventh year, Chestertons Polo in the Park brings world class polo right into the heart of London. With its simplified rules and smaller playing field, it has taken polo to a brand new audience and has now firmly established its place in London’s sporting summer calendar. The international game will be played in a similar format to the rest of the tournament, whereby each team is made up of three players (rather than the usual four) and they only change ends once at half time.

Last winter saw the arrival of a unique dining and drinking concept in the heart of London’s City. Situated on the iconic Threadneedle Street, home to the Bank of England, M is an innovative and versatile 15,000 square foot space. M is the first solo project from Martin Williams, who left his role as Managing Director of Gaucho Restaurants earlier this year after almost a decade with the company, to establish his own restaurant group.

Tickets for the polo themed dinner at M on 21st April cost £50 and can be purchased by visiting www.mrestaurants.co.uk. For information about Chestertons Polo in the Park visit  www.polointheparklondon.com
