From the sunny Costa Careyes on the Mexican Pacific Coast we are happy to inform you of our main events of the polo season November 17th, 2006 through April 22nd, 2007.
This year we will count again with the presence of 2 pros Guillermo Li (Chino, from Perú as Polo Manager) and Raúl Ramírez (from México).
There are new villas for rent, 2 new restaurants, one of them a steak house also offering pasta and tequilas, in the Rancho Don Andrés at the Polo Club as well as Cocodrilo Azul on the Careyes Beach with Sushi and Oriental foods. You can also enjoy great new activities such as bird, crocodile, whale and sunset watching. Golf at Tamarindo, tennis, jungle hikes, beach riding and parties as well as 50 handy polo ponies for rent plus the horses of the local players are bonus activities that will keep you moving. Season started with the Thanksgiving Cup (Nov. 17th to 25th) with 2 Cups, the traditional Copa Sombras sponsored by Rocio and Bolko Kissling, and our First Ladies Tournament in Careyes and Mexico Copa Giuliana, with the victory of Bombones Team and participation of players from Colombia, USA, England and Mexico.
Christmas and New Year, 10-12 goal teams, 8 games from December 27th to January 6th with players from all over the World and this year with the visit of several international high goal professionals. At this date there are still a few spaces available.
Polo Clinics and Beginner games will be available in the mornings.
In February (2nd to 11th) we will repeat the great experience of last year Masters Tournament playing 14-16 goals games with patrons and pros who want to share great polo and a beautiful vacation on this warm coast of the Mexican Pacific. José Donoso, Luis Lalor and the Gomez de Parada were some of last ediition participants.
Chinese New Year Cup (Year of the Pig) will be played February 16th to 18th, followed by great celebration.
2nd Ladies Tournament (February 20th to 25th) will be sponsored by Jimmy Giebeler, some of the players being his friends from Europe.
March is more dedicated to Clinics and Coaching from Major Dawnay and it is a great oportunity to improve your game or introduce some friends to this exciting game.
Clinics, Practice and Tournaments games will also be available.
Copa Agua Alta sponsored by Kary and Alberto Ardissone will be played from March 31st to April 7th with a maximum of 6 teams (10-12 goals) featuring a competitive tournament with great Mexican events (charreadas, escaramusas, horse ballets and rodeos) and parties, followed by the Easter Tournament (April 11th to 15th). During this period, starting April 9th to 21st, World Championship Play Offs will be played in Mexico City.

These are the highlights of the season but between those dates, individuals players or teams are welcome and unless there is a tournament, we play practice games 4 times a week. We can also organize an event with your needs and fantasies!
