WOW Opening Day, what a start at San Diego Polo

San Diego Polo opened with well a explosion you might say
May well be bigger than last year which neared the 5 thousand
mark. So big and so much fun for all. This is the venue which
will keep Polo alive in North America. This is all due to the
world of media done by a group or a few people led by
Lindsey Chronert. This Club should be the centerpiece of US Polo.

It works and she is not selling a venue of beauty like Empire
Polo. It is a riverbed. It is a Polo Club with no permanent buildings and the level is 4-goal. The social scene there is so much fun that really nobody cares about the level of polo.

Today we had four, 12-gaol games at Santa Barbara Polo Club and there may have been 300 spectators in attendance. The weather was just about the same … ugly.

The Polo was sort of good. There were two games at 10 am.
Klenter Ranch manhandled Lucchese on field 1 and finished
up by 1 or 2. On field 3 it was Farmers and Merchants
winning in OT with a huge goal by the Palomino (Jason Crowder) all set up by Young Gun Charley Walker. He was picking a 6- goal player and setting him free for a solo trip to the North end. It was the golden goal to top Hawk Hill.

At 1 pm it was the legend Memo and some very strong support from the Fernandez’s of Monterey, Mx. Patrons. Alfredo and Rodrigo tagging Twin Palms thoroughly and heading to 2 and 0 in bracket B.

In the feature game it was Geof Palmer and his team Antelope doing a tap dance on Grants Farm/Wildcats as they ran by them to
head to 2 – 0. This sets up some big games for Friday. Could
be a shootout on the way as all other teams are 1 and 1.

If Hawk Hill can stop Antelope or Klentner Ranch can put the
bar down on La Hereadura it will be very exciting day Friday.

Across the Pond it was Zacara taking there bracket with a huge
Win to head for the Quarters of the Queens Cup. Well done to the Winners and San Diego Polo who were the head of the class Sunday.

See ya
