Ellerstina finally became champions of the Argentine Open at Palermo and to do it they beat the man who has stopped them every other time, I think, Aldolfo Cambiaso. It must have been a magic moment for the young guns. They swicthed Juan Nero for Matias McDonough and it must have done the deal as they, a 39 goal team, beat a 40 goal team, who have won the Open 3 years in a row and a couple of other times before too. The new Champions do not have a player on their team who has ever won the Open before. I believe it was a magical day for them. Well done!
I bet there was one hell of a smile on Gonzalo Pieres face (senior that is). His son is still the only one not 10-goals in the USA and he may well be the best player on the team. It’s that nobody notices as Gonzo 2 is so quiet and so deadly, people never notice there is no flash . . . he just gets the job done Congratulations Ellerstina.
