First finals in the high goal 26 that is was Les Armour Cup who by the way was one of the bearers of polo movement in the 70’s and 80’s even added a son to the mix former 9 goal great Red Armour . Lester was nit just a Polo Player he was the ultimate Gentleman who could have been a movie star or a President tough true and so honest . It is great they named this tournament after him and the finals was Pop and son vs each other . Like the Zemis finals Pop won Sir Bob just schooled son Robert he who is boss is best today as Big Bob and AC continue there winning ways . In the finals of the Whitney it was young brother Facundo vs big brother Gonzlito Pieres with Audi and it looked like GP was on the road to the table with Audi but wait it is 6 chukkars and Facundo found his way to the top in a heart breaking 6 th by Orchard Hill and super Patron Steve VanAndel. Well done Orchard Hill ! Audi had one of the best Desert Rats on it the highest rated player from North America none other than Fred Mannix Jr . Some other great news NICK BUSCH son of Andy and Kim Busch was one of the stars on Santa Barbara High school Basketball team who won the CIF in Ca. and head to State title at 31 and 1 not bad for a local Polo boy .
