Julio Arellano scored the first goal of the day for the early 1-0 Newport (Gene Goldstein, Grant Ganzi, Julio Arellano and Juancito Bollini) lead, but it would be the last time Dutta Corp. Newport team captain Gene Goldstein scored his first goal of the game with 2:43 left to play and Arellano added his third of the day, cutting the Dutta Corp. Blue down to a manageable two goals, 8-6, but time was on the side of Dutta Corp. Blue as Newport found themselves on the losing end of an 8-6 final score.
