Today the final qualification match was played in Argentina to see which of the two finalists would win the zone selection. Both teams have already qualified to compete in these two, high-goal tournaments by making it to the finals of the qualification games. The winner of the qualification final gets to select which zone they would like to play in for the 113th Hurlingham Open and the Argentine (Palermo) Open Tournaments.
Diego Araya, the back position player of the Hurlingham team, announced that his team will play in Zone A for the Palermo (Argentine Open) and in Zone B for the 113th Hurlingham Open which starts this coming Wednesday, Oct. 17th. Coronel Suárez Cuatro Tacos, a 28-goal team, will play in the Zone A slot for the Hurlingham Open Tournament.
This news came after a very close game where Hurlingham defeated Coronel Suárez 12 – 11. Hurlingham lead the game for the first 6 chukkers, but with a minute left in the 7th chukker, the #1 player of Coronel Suárez, Sebastián Harriot scored a goal to tie up the game. At the throw in, with the game tied up 11-11, Gastón Laulhé, of the Hurlingham team, took the ball and with a big run scored the tie-breaking goal to win the match 12-11.
Score by the chukker: 1-1, 4-3, 5-3, 7-4, 8-6, 10-9 and 12-11.

The first games of the 113th Hurlingham Open will be played at the San Jorge Club where Ellerstina will play Coronel Suárez. The second game of the tournament, which will also be played Wednesday, will see La Aguada play El Paraíso.
On Thursday, Oct. 18th there will be 2 games for Zone B teams with La Dolfina playing Hurlingham and a new version of Indios Chapaléufu II vs. Chapa I.
