Indio CA, (April 5, 2009) – Capping off a perfect season, Robert Jornayvas IV’s Valiente polo team emerged victorious in the Pacific Coast Circuit Governor’s Cup. Playing in front of one of the biggest crowds to watch polo at the Eldorado Polo Club, Valiente defeated Rick Paicius’s Trinity Crusaders by a score of 9 – 5.

In an extremely exciting game to watch, Valiente  led 3 – 1 after one in spite of an electrifying run to score off the opening throw-in by Patrick Uretz for the Crusaders. After a strong second period for Trinity, the score was tied at four going to the half.

The third period allowed Trinity to go on top by one early, but Crusader foul trouble gave Valiente the oportunity to lead by one (6 – 5) going to the final.

The fourth frame was all Valiente as they outscored the Crusaders by three and became the Governor’s Cup Champions.
