They are 3,000 miles apart and they are doing it! Down South in the best of the best it was Little Mac (Frederick Mannix, Jr.) finishing the deal as BTA heads to the semis in the Ylvisaker Cup Finals. A Frederick Mannix, Jr., Jeff Hall and Dan Roenisch swept into the semis with a huge win today. They head there in a hurry with Super Patron Kelly Beal, a builder of Eldorado Polo Club.

Here at home it was another West Coast Pee Wee Graduate blowing the doors in the 16-goal as the Palomino (Jason Crowder) and Fast-etta (Mariano Fassetta) showed Palm Desert. Their big speedas they took the wheel and hauled a_ _ all day like they were born to run. They did out run Palm Desert, who was last month’s champs in the 12-Goal.

So BTA and Windsor/Grant’s Farm have something in common. They are undefeated in FEB. There is a long way to go, but its a start and a very brilliant start at that.

Also down south in Florida carlos Gracida showed he is not history yet as he led Privilige to the semis as well. Here on the local scene it was as we said WC/GF in a speed duel beating Palm Desert in a very good game on a field that let them run and they did. The Governor, Pat Nesbitt, scored 3 goals and the back door came up with 3 as well.

In other action it was like this as far as I know. For the record, I always know, but it just might not be right. The Colorado Cowgirl (Jenny Luttrell) got rollin’ early as she and Cotterel Farms stopped Smokin’ Joe Henderson in OT in the 8-goal. They head to the semis. Also in the 8-goal it was Aspen Oaks and Big Ed Pope stopping Casa Blanca as they return to the cellar with Maui/McPolo. Maui/McPolo won a big one over Shanghi as they, with the big stick of Bud Dardi, continued to run to goal. This team is a treat. They have more speed than a Ferrari with Jesse Neuworth up front and “balls to the wall” Juan Ho (Juan Jose Gonzalez). They have bullet Bud and a Palomino Cannon (Jason Crowder) and they still suck. It’s a young mans problem I guess. Speed is not always the answer.

At 10 a.m. in the 4-goal/4 chukker it was the FMB Long Beach doing a job La Mancha, who has not turned the corner yet. In the 4-goal/6 chukker it was the speed of Cam Clark Ford burning Empire, and they are born to run. Look at the names Fargy, Fargy, and they do like to smoke on by. It was Hanalei Bay and Krista Hawley-Bonaguidi showing their muscle as they stopped Ore/pac. Also at 10 a.m. it was Ms. Betty Pope and Melody oaks doing an early job and showed up Gehache with a very talented new player Mrs. Pope.

In the 4-goal/4 chukker it was Parklane beating out World Gym for a big one. It was Big Gun Vladimir and his Double Eagles beating back Kentfield in the 4 chukker/6 goal.

In the final game of the day, a 16-goal game, it was winless Long Beach playing another brilliant game, but just not enough as Hanalei Bay I showed why they are a team with only one loss. Bones (Ron Bonaguidi) and Augy (Agustin Zavaleta) just keep on working.

We have a real problem with the fields, so everyone do a rain dance. Water and a little natural nitrogen could change it all. The weather is perfect and polo is equalized by the fields, so we will be there. Will you be there?

See ya.
