A victory by Grant’s Farm Manor/Windsor Capital in Desert on Friday might very well decide February champion.
INDIO, CA (February 14, 2007) – If Grant’s Farm/Windsor can prevail over Hanalei Bay in Friday’s first 16 Goal game at Eldorado they will put themselves in an almost unbeatable position at the top of the February leaderboard. A win would put the Andy Busch/Pat Nesbitt foursome two games up, with three left to play, in a tournament that will not have a final. On the other hand if Ron Bonaguidi’s crew can achieve victory they will draw even at 4 – 1. This scenerio would most certainly open things up and the title would be decided by games involving the remaining three teams.
Palm Desert will play Tri Tech in game two and to say this is a must win situation for Dan Horn and Co. would be a gross understatement. A win and they will be 3 – 2 with an extreme outside possibility for the Roenisch Bronzes – a possibility enhanced with a Hanalei Bay victory earlier in the day. Tri Tech’s first game in this round gives the Chris Maloney quartet their first opportunity of round two to be a spoiler.
Standings;
Grant’s Farm/Windsor 4 0 +10
Hanalei Bay 3 1 + 7
