Big Al and Empire Polo started it early as they beat Kentfield in the 4-Goal/6 Chukker. Over on the otherside of the property it was Melody Oaks and the working woman Mrs. Pope doing a wonderful job for the team. They were a couple better than StormCat. Both teams are still in the race for the Bronze round. In the 4-goal/4 chukker it was Ore/Pac getting a much needed win over Rancho Amistad, who hardly lost in January and have never won in February. It was Mini Mac (Julian Mannix) who copied his big bro as the Hawks blew by Shanhai. Mr. Armour needs a Yankee base. Clam Clark Ford, even with Patron Dayelle Fargy, still destroyed the Double Eagles as they doubled up on the Eagles. Look forward to their other Patron returning, Cam Clark, and put Dayelle back to work. In a real suprise it was the Ambasador and Gehache doing it in big time as they left the cellar and whipped up on the Colorado Cowgirl and Cotterel Farms 2 in the 4-goal/4 chukker. In a no-brainer it was a hustling Jesse Neuworth doing a great job to help Maui/McPolo tie up Big Ed and Aspen Oaks. Aspen Oaks goes up and well Maui/McPolo goes south. It was a big game in the 4-chukker/4 goal as Krista showed the Bones family she can win as Hanalei Bay 2 did it to Fish Creek and racked up a win. It was “Nick the Stick #2” (as there is one down in FL) but young Nick Morrision was called on for a sub job and maybe supersub of the month as he led the Wolfman’s (Ashton Wolf) charge as La Mancha buried Rancho Santa Fe. In the final chukkers and the day of polo ended with a huge upset as Long Beach showed Parklane the exit door in a big upset in the well. It was World Gym and the Uretz gang handling Tackroom and Kelly Armstrong in the 2-goal. Out of the blue it was Dr. Pacius and his honey of OC showing Rocky View another angle. Ireland with cecilia Chin and Michelle Meyers left the other Orange County out of the big one with a win. In the final match of the 2-goal it was Jack of JAX leading the charge as he and Debbi did it to Lani from Aspen and they head to the finals. So as good weather returned to the desert so did good polo days, but we could use some water and fertlizer and we may have a wonderful March ahead of us. The Club put on a very good party tonight and it was poorly attended, but better than the last one. It may take an effort as still too many no-shows for this affair. It is free food! See ya.
