Indio, CA (March 29, 2009) – Winning three of a possible six chukkers over Julian Mannix’s Hawks cast, including a carry-over of $8000.00, gave Bolko Kisslings Atlant polo team a $16,000.00 to $8,000.00  victory in the Skins Polo Game at the Eldorado Polo Club on Sunday.

The first stanza went to Kissling and crew with a 2 – 1 margin and they led with $4,000.00.

The second was even at three apiece, thus forcing a carry-over to the third period of $8,000.00.

Shutting out the Hawks 2 -0 in the third earned Atlant eight grand and put them up by $12,000.00 at the half.

Mannix and the birds flew back in the fourth and were absolutley decisive with a 4 – 1 victory and earned $4,000.00 to narrow the gap.

Taking the earned momentum to the fifth frame kept the wings going and they landed with a 2 – 1 victory and another four big ones to total $8,000.00.

With a chance to get even and end the contest at $12,000.00 each, the Hawks led by one early on in the final 7:30. However, Jason Crowder went back to back with a pair of counters from the field and Atlant were the champions courtesy a 2 – 1 margin.

Scoring for the winners, Danny Walker (2 fouls) and Nicolai Galindo had four each and Crowder scored three (1 foul).

The Hawks were led by Tomas Obregon with five (3 fouls), Mannix had three (2 fouls), Juan Curbello provided a pair (1 foul), and Pierre-Henri Ngoumou scored once.

Interestingly, the overall game score was even 11 each.

Crowder’s horse Ready (back to back in the sixth) was chosen as best playing pony.
