CAP CANA, Dominican Republic – Monday, December 14, 2009 – Lifestyle Companies announced today the winners of its First Annual Cap Cana Beach Polo World Cup, held Thursday, December 10 – Sunday, December 13, 2009, on magnificent Juanillo Beach.

With tournament’s winners comes president of Cap Cana’s Board of Directors, Dr. Ricardo Hazoury’s,announcement construction will begin, in the coming year, on a polo field in Cap Cana, considered among the Caribbean’s most important tourism and real estate locales.

Sotogrande at Cap Cana’s Team Captain, the Dominican Polo Star, Bobby Jimenez, lead his team to the trophy in a two to one victory over favored Lifestyle Companies during Sunday’s final tournament match.  Jimenez scored Sotogrande at Cap Cana’s first goal; teammate Luis Escobar (Costa Rica) scored the second.

Bobby Jimenez, Luis Escobar, Alfredo Vargas were on the winning team Sotogrande with Tito who ran this tournament & president of Lifestyle Companies, Dr. Ricardo who is president of Cap Cana’s Board of Directors, and Reyson who was a speaker at the tournament.

Six teams of three players competed in the tournament’s matches, played at four chukkas, each seven and a half minutes long.

The weekend-long First Annual Cap Cana Beach Polo World Cup got underway Thursday, December 10 with a golf tournament at Punta Espada Golf Club, where golfers linked up with polo tournament players.

At tournament’s “All but the Horse”-themed closing night event, on Cap Cana’s Marina Beach, tournament players, friends, along with tournament’s partners and sponsors celebrated its first annual edition’s success.  Revelry was in full swing with internationally-renowned DJ Erick JR at the turntables, and continued until dawn when DJ Erok, Red Bull’s official DJ, spun his contagious mix of eclectic selections from every kind of music, including soul, funk, Brazilian beats, reggae, house, rock and hip-hop.
