Opening Day at San Diego Polo Clu was in all ways a big success. The crowd was big, probably close to 1700 very sexy and attractive people. There were many families too. The two pro pool games were both exciting and crowd pleasing with very good field conditions. The weather was perfect, not too hot, a nice breeze with a little sun for the ladies.
It was two of the big guns from San Diego Polo Club winning the games. Lisa Bosstick and Bryon Ward took the first game with a close victory. It was Silent Chris Maloney and his Tri Tech/ RRP squad “Robin and Rick Pacious both sharing a spot and playing very well for their first step to the big time.
This was the final day of a very successful pro pool league for the last month. Now its time to pull down your hat, grab the spurs and get to rockin’ as the 10- and 4- goal leagues are underway come Friday afternoon. If there is polo in San Diego, there is a party too, so be there. I believe they have their Welcome Party this Friday at the Clubhouse. So check it out if you are nearby.
It was finals time in Santa Barbara PC as Nicoma beat Long Beach in overtime. Federico signed on for the golden goal in what was said to be a very good game. The final 12-goal gets started this week as the Inter-circuit begins. We have a newcomer to Santa Barbara as Wild Bill Freeman hits the turf in town with the Corleone/Klentner team. Wild Bill takes over for Micheal Rothbard and Los Toros.
Back East it was the Mig (Migelito Torres) and Rocket (Santi Torres) playing in Greenwich, CT. In case you do not know, the Torres Boys from Carpinteria are leading the show for White Birch as they won the first 20-goal in Greenwich, CT this past weekend.
Across the pond it was Adolfo Cambiaso headed to the semis where he meets the new 10’s on the block, the Pieres Boys. It should be a good one. See ya.
