The end of June will show Gypsy (Figi/Mano-Mano) taking the Chris Hoyman Memorial Cup 10-Goal Final at San Diego Polo Club. Gypsy overpowered 4 other teams for the title of the 10-Goal. It was the Surfer (Diego Cossio) and Jessica Bailey Mano, Mike Mano with Guti (Mariano Gutierrez) capturing it.
Bill Hoyman’s Marcus + Millichap won the 4-goal Final defeating Monteverde 7-2 on Field One.
In Santa Barbara, it was a 3 out of 4 for Joel Ladin and his Nicoma/Chadmar squad. MVP Fredrico Von Wernick led the double L’s of Ladin & Lande to the trophy table in the final of the 12-goal Inter Circuit Tournament. They beat Matt Walker and his Long Beach squad getting 3 of 3 from them in the finals.
In the consolation it was Wild Bill Freeman taking the reins and scoring 5 as they out did Gehache where Senior Escobar led them with 4 or 5 goals as well. It was Corleone/Klentner in OT. That was the final whistle for the ’07 12-goal season which remains a low spot in the schedule with only 4 teams for the 3rd year running.
Here in Santa Barbara they take a break for a couple of weeks at least 1 Sunday is dark then the high-goal gets going. San Diego fires up for their 2nd and its the Arizona speedball and Bolko headed there for a hookup with the Lawman and the Palomino. No word on the Torres brothers in their finals back East so we will let you know soon as we do.
