The Polo Report
By Steve Crowder
After a long season it is down to the final two. They come from Indiana and California, which may not be the biggest
Polo states on the books, but they were happy as if they were. The finalists slugged their way through 6 teams to reach the finals while here in Ithaca, NY at Cornell University. Eldorado made it through last night escaping with a win over the Univ. of Virgina. Today it was Culver stopping a hard-riding Cowtown out of New Jersey. It was a very good game with several big goals from faraway making each worth 2 goals instead of 1. A boomer from young August Scherer was a monster from one end to the other and a great one from Kareem Rosser, as he hit a big one and then held out the defender to let it roll in. August and Kareem were easily the power out in the arena today, but they had lot of help on both sides. August had Grandson of Walter Durett Austin Chandler. Devin Vass. Kareem came armed with younger brother Dayamar Rosser and Drea Taylor.
It was a good solid polo game most of the game as Culver had the lead most of the time, but it as over two minutes before a goal was even scored. It was a couple at 1/2 time and after a big run by both teams it came down to a big goal by Culver with a minute and nineteen seconds left off of an error by Cowtown that they seemed to have it done. Great game and a very good sportsmanship as well. Well done to all and see you at the finals @ 2.p.m. Sat. April 24,2010
See ya at the finals.
