Reading these articles is great, it is like watching a race and having the announcer calling the race over the radio. And out of the starting gate the 12 horses are running neck and neck and the bay mare on the inside is running faster than the grey gelding in fourth place and the brown horse brings up the rear. If you are not there with the program in your hand with the names and numbers and jockeys it just all sounds really stupid. So if there is any way for all readers to really follow polo, having the players on the team roster put up, it makes the articles easier to follow and then other clubs can really get to know which players at the other clubs are doing well. When it comes time to look for other players to play with you, at other clubs, this would be a starting point to get people to follow other clubs. Rose’s cantina is great that the sponsor gets credit by having the team name but it does nothing to help me understand who is playing for rose’s cantina.
Oh bye the way we had a practice the other day and had ten chukkars and everyone cut in for different chukkars and fun was had by all players pretty fun huh? Bet that will make the polo magazine front article.
Please complete journalism, we are lacking this and it needs to be corrected in order for people to follow polo. We need to get the masses to follow what are sport is about talk about the players and their upbringing into polo, talk about the horses and the rules fouls etc. Not just a boring article team A played team B then team C played team D. Then team A played team D and team B played team C and trophies we given. BLAH BLAH BLAH.
Really we just want to know WHO is playing on which team so we can follow new players and how they are advancing.
The press releases and game reports that are published on PoloZONE are submitted and written by the polo clubs themselves. I’ll will suggest to them that they add the teams. As you know, most smaller clubs don’t have the staff or budget for a marketing department. If you have time or know of anyone who wants to intern at PoloZONE, maybe I can offer this service to more of the polo clubs. While I don’t have a budget at this time for staff, I would welcome any volunteers or interns who have an interest in polo and who want to learn more about online publishing and web development. Thanks for your feedback. I’ll see what I can do to get more team line-ups added to the incoming posts. Lynn, PoloZONE.com
I’ve added the team roster for the #4 game in the series. The updates from this point forward should include them as they change weekly.
Thanks Lynn, that makes it a much better read.
