The Polo Report
By Steve Crowder

In front of a very big and noisy crowd it was Chris Maloney and Rick Paicius quarterbacking a long, but low scoring game. They are happy as they are the 2010 CHAMPS. TritechTrinity had the Doctor (Gaston Von Wernich) doing his job.  He made the right incisions to stop the bleeding to STAR MEADOW, a team led by the Lady Bancroft as in JOY.  It was not the fastest game, but penalties made a lot of it slow down, which often happens in the finals when things get tough. Some really enjoyed the game.   Jesse Bray, a young gun of CA,  took the title away from Pop (Graham Bray), who is head gun of Starmeadow. Hard to tell where Jesse will sleep tonight? But Mother is still boss of the house, so Jesse is very safe for now. In the consolation game it was FasT-etta (Mariano Fassetta) leading the charge as Hanalei Bay/Algodon Wine took the reins and ran all over La Passion/Sycamore to sign the card as #3 in this one.  The summer ends for San Diego Polo, but it really just starts as September is the month to be there!
SUPER SEPTEMBER is much like March Madness. SAN DIEGO POLO IS ALWAYS FUN AND A PARTY CENTER, but in Sept. it is the mecca of polo in California and most of the West from Texas to the west coast.  IT SIMPLY IS THE BEST IN THE WEST!  You can be guaranteed to enjoy yourself if you come to play or watch the tournaments.  You will have a lot of fun, see good polo on decent fields and have the time of your life.  If you play you, you know you will be taken care of because Heather Chronert runs POLO like it is: Not the Sport of Kings, but the KING of Sports.  Try it and if you do not have the nerve or the money just come and watch and see the fastest team sport in the world. For the next 4 weeks it will be SO GOOD to be there.
