I have called Julian Mannix the Mini for a long time as he is very small, but he was not small today. Julian shook the field like an earthquake in the last ten minutes of the Feb. finals of the 12-goal. You can ask Valiente as they never dreamed their problems would come from a 95 pound missile. Talk about a Young Gun . . . Julian he is it! His guns were blazing from midway through the fifth until the final bell. The Hawks got a Team effort today against a team that had doubled the score against them a couple weeks ag,o but that was the way it was this month.
In 7 games the Hawks lost two games to Windsor Capital and to Valiente. On Saturday the Hawks smoked Windsor and they out played Valiente today to win it all. To top it off it was a day where they missed 7 penalty shots from 60 yards and it was on a horrible day for polo with the wind often at 50 m.p.h. and a little dust in the air. The weather was not the reason of missed sixties. They rarely went 45 yards, maybe 45 wide. Both teams were awful on the foul line, but Zedda must have had the feeling. He kept fouling, but they could do nothing about it until the 5th when Bullet Bob Jornayvaz and his blue and white team contained the game until the 5th. Then Mini (Julian Mannix) went to work. Father Joe Henderson kept them close early and a great effort by Kyle Fargey put the heat on Alvaro Tadeo of Valiente and for the most part contained him. Danny boy (Roenisch) put pressure on the big stick and their #2 became a non factor as Father Joe obliverated him. Valiente was winning through most of it until the Canadian Missile (Julian Mannix) arrived. He did it with style to make Bro (Frederick) happy. He was just gone . . . like hey thats the way it is. He was thinking “I need a bronze” and he got one and it does not say second place. It says Champion of 2008.
In the 4-goal finals it was all eyes on Mrs. Padilia as in Gina ,but for the wrong reasons. She is gorgeous and she can really ride as well, but the Mexican Sec. of Defense (Fernando Pliego) was not leaving town. Fernando Pilego came to play and he did as he got a lot of help from Cameron Diggon, Glen Hart and a French cook named Fabien who put his notice on alert. This kid can play polo. So as it is all History now here is the way it was:

Just south of here where they have Polo fields with grass and mowers it was Sir Sean returning from the dead as he WON a tournament. It was the first one in a while at the La Quinta Polo Club. This Club is growing real fast, so as both clubs take a break for the next 10 days, just relax. They will all be back in play real soon.
See ya.
