It was a perfect day with a beautiful blue sky, the fields did not look as bad from the side that is. There was quite a bit of polo today as the 8- and 12- were mainly in action. It started early as Windsor Capital and the Colorado Cowgirl (Jenny Luttrell) hooked up. It did not do much for fans during the first 1/2 as Windsor just pounded away with an 8 to 3 lead. Then the 4th chukker was tied and then Jenny started running and a gunning. The red took the 5th 4 to 1 and the 6th chukker 3 to 1, but it was just a goal short of tying it up again as the Governor (Pat Nesbitt) has dodged out twice in a week. At noon in the 12-goal it was Big George Dill (Washington Lettuce) and Merhdad Baghai trying to keep the ship right, but they were up against another 3 pro team. It was a long trip, but they gave it a run with JRD/Washington Lettuce. The wind, however, from the High Prairie squad was to strong today and they rolled in for a win.

The wind was also blowing nearby on field 3 and it was coming from the Black & Green of Casa Blanca as they seldom are not flying. Phoenix was trying to hold the wind, but it was not to be as CasaBlanca rolled into a perfect 3 & 0 spot. During the late games it was Fish Creek over Friendly Chev, On the big field it was the new team Valiente, which means Valent or brave. They say just hammering the last 2 week champs Palm Desert for 4 chukkers, but never say that Grandpa Dan will not come back because he will be there when you open the door and was he ever. LB closed it out with a big comeback and took advantage of careless mistakes and came all the way back and up to win and keep that clean Feb. air perfect for Mr. Horn and the double Dan’s. There will be two big games today at La Quinta Polo as well. Where colder weather makes the grass greener?

The weather is supposed to be just about the same Saturday, so come on out. I hear its raining in the East so stay in town. See ya.
