Grand Champions Polo Club hosts championship team captains in an invitation polo tournament sponsored by Polo Gear and Rox World. Palm Beach, Florida, is the destination of the US Open Polo Championships and is considered the Polo capital of the world.

A handful of entrepreneurs have been successfully promoting the sport of polo to enthusiasts and market segmentation that would not be considered the sports core demographic. Their vision is to take polo to every corner of the world. From Miami Beach to the snowy fields in St. Moritz, and Aspen. Women’s Polo and even Gay Polo, which is played by Gay men and women, under the same rules, as the US Open Polo Championships.

Recently polo had a historic day as all American ladies team challenged the British Armed Forces team who just escorted the Royal Carriage for Royal Wedding for Prince William and Kate Middleton. The ladies team captained by Melissa Ganzi, also captain of the prestigious High Goal Piaget Polo team, won. They flat out beat the men. Much to the shagrin of Prince Charles. The American Ladies Polo Team is now on their way to play a match on the White House Lawn in Washington, DC against the All star team from of The Gay Polo League. Women’s polo has already established itself in the United States and previously closed doors are opening elsewhere in the world.

Polo is not covered by national television networks and caters to the Ultra Affluent resident of Aspen, Beverly Hills South Hampton, Greenwich or Palm Beach. A high goal polo team polo team costs upwards of 25 million, 100’s of horses, $50,000 dollars per box suite each season, etc.

Rox World a TV show, that has just covered John Walsh (America’s Most Wanted) playing Beach Polo, has worked closely with Polo Gear in the Palm Beach Market over the past five years to extend Polo to the World. Writers such as Alex Webb and founder of Miami Beach Polo, Bruce Orosz have also focused their energies and events to include a broader audience. Polo Gear was founded in 1993 with the hope and dream of sharing the sport its founders loved with the world. Today that vision appears to becoming realized.

Polo Gear is expanding polo through sponsoring polo related events and celebrities, and its growing News Network with Rox World in 40 countries worldwide. The company has distribution in all 50 states and in 45 countries. Together Rox and Polo Gear are leveraging the Rox Internet, television and wireless network to bring Polo to viewers worldwide. Rox World reaches several million viewers on television and several million people online through media impressions every month.
