Reports indicate that the U.S. Open Finals was a very good, but unusual game. They say this because it was actually a very open and running game and not the choo choo train that has because part of this polo. I listened to the chukker by chukker report from those who were watching the game as I was not able to be there. It was the Master himself (Adolfo Cambiaso) proving he is a very hard-to-beat.
George Rawlings and Crab Orchard can be proud, as the last back to back champs were years ago. The last back to back champ was Outback and Tim Gannon. He was also on those teams as well. Today is another time or era. Today the U.S. Open participants are part of 2 million dollar teams with monstorus operations geared for these 3 tournaments every year. Cambiaso has won five in the last decade including U.S. Open and several of the other 26-goal events. Best of all, it was done with two Yanks against a very strong South American team.
