Men’s Neckwear Startup Bull and Moose Signs Champion Polo Player Brandon Phillips As Their First Ever Brand Ambassador

Bull and Moose, Inc., a maker of high quality bow ties and neckties, is pleased to announce the signing of professional polo player Brandon Phillips as a brand ambassador and advisor.

Considered one of the world’s most talented polo players, Brandon has captured some of the sport’s most coveted trophies. He won the USPA Silver Cup, the Gold Cup of the Americas, and the C.V. Whiteney Cup. Additionally, he was a finalist in the US Open of Polo.

“Bull and Moose is more than just quality bow ties and neckties. It is all about rugged individualism, joie-de-vivre, and classic style,” said Diego Echeverri, CEO of Bull and Moose. ”We started this company to create high quality products at a fair price for today’s young professional, all while doing good and giving back. From the beginning, we wanted someone who represented these ideas and values. Brandon is that person.”

At age 14 Phillips was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. The doctor’s prognosis was six weeks to live. Drawing on his physical strength and positive outlook, Phillips was cancer free after five months of intensive chemotherapy. He continues the fight against cancer by participating in numerous charitable events and sharing the game of polo with children suffering from cancer.

Phillips not only represents the sport of polo on the field but also off the field. He acts as an ambassador for the sport at fundraisers and throughout his humanitarian efforts. “Bull and Moose is a great company that makes gentlemen look good, while also doing good,” said Phillips. “Their strategic partnerships with charities focused on helping boys, men and veterans are exemplary, and I am excited to serve as the face of a company whose moral values align with mine.”

The Bull and Moose look is a mix of classic style with a modern twist and seasonal inspiration. Every tie is handmade and available exclusively through their website. The ties start at just $25.00 with free shipping included. The company is able to make high quality handmade ties at such a competitive price because they cut out the middleman.

Bull and Moose is a small operation of just three people. Unlike large fashion labels, Bull and Moose does not have a high overhead or need to pay licensing fees. This model allows savings to be passed on directly to customers and while still being able to give back to the causes they support.

The Bull and Moose approach to giving back is unique. Bull and Moose prefers to support micro loans to under privileged and urban entrepreneurs in the US via their Kiva Lending team on www.kiva.org. By doing so, Bull and Moose helps others support themselves through their own initiative. When the micro loans are repaid Bull and Moose intends to reinvest to help others and keep the cycle going.
