Lockton defeated Re/Max 8-7 in overtime to win the mid-month 6-8 Goal Finals at the Empire Polo Club. Hernan Tejera of Lockton Polo Team was the only player to score in the first chukker. Lockton jumped to the lead early, but it wasn’t long before Gordon Ross, patron of the Re/Max team, scored the first goal for Re/Max. Lockton kept the pressure on with a goal by Charly Quincoces. The third chukker went to Lockton with a penalty conversion by Tejera. Re/Max regrouped at halftime and came onto the field ready to fight for a win. Luis Sarocco put a point on the board for Re/Max and Ross converted a penalty to close the gap. Tejera kept Lockton in the lead by answering with another goal from the field.

The 5th chukker was a fight. Re/Max put the pressure on with two goals by Sarocco; one from the field and a penalty conversion. Lockton’s Quincoces converted a penalty and scored two more points from the field keeping them ahead by a two-point margin going into the 6th. Sarocco game out blazing and tied-up the game with two goals for Re/Max. The score was 7-7 going into overtime. Both teams were determined to win the title. Lockton gained control of the ball early and Tejera scored the winning goal.
