If it were not for some key games in Argentina it would be over as here it was a wild weekend as Madison and Pretty Lady Bosstick along with Tomas Obregon and the Wolfman won the Triple Crown Trophy. They defeated Silent Chris Maloney and Tracy in a thriller at San Diego PC. In Aiken it was New Bridge losing the Ladies for the first time in a while in overtime. In Santa Barbara it was the return of Smokin’ Joe and that’s what they did smoked Klentner Ranch in the finals without Zeda, but Santi was just fine for the red and white.
Way down south in Argentine its a big week as Alegria and the a Gringos have a huge game on Tuesday. They take on El Prasio and the winner is qualified to play in Hurlingham and Argentine Opens. The loser will be gone along with La Baronesa. On the otherside it’s Sugar Erskine with a chance. Coronel Suarez takes on Tregue Laugen and the winner is qualified to play in the Opens. The loser joins Santa Maria Lobos.
In the big stuff it was Pilara recovering from a narrow loss to Ellerstina and whipping up on Indios 2. The other big match lost out to Mother Nature as rain was the name of the game today. Ellerstina took a big hit when new 10-goal superstar Pablo McDonough was injured in another tournament. They have to switch to Lucas Criado I hear, so they go down to 38 goals now. They wait to meet Indios in their final game this weekend coming . La Alquada plays Black Watch on Tuesday as well to make up for a rainy day. The Villages in Florida gets underway this weekend as well with a big one. There is a final in Aiken as well, so we will let you know the results as the information becomes available. As the fog and fall set in on the coast it’s not over yet. The Lady’s play in San Diego and there are two more 8-goal weekends in Santa Barbara, so do not put up your Sunday chairs yet.
