The thermometer never got hot but the tempers did on a perfect weekend of polo on the gold coast. After two big days things are starting to line out sort of , with a croos bracket scheme and all on all line it looks like this with one round to go to call a finalist. Round 1 was on Friday and action was hot early as Farmers and Merchant took on La Herudura up north at Piocho Tom Barracks Fantastic setting and LH came out on top of Fa nd M by 1, Tehn down to ERG old Meeker Place with a new look it was ERG using home field advantage as they blew by defending champs Lucchese and following that up it was Restoration Hardware / Mansour devouring Catamount so at the end of the day it was like this : Hardware (1-0) and Lucchese (0-1). La Herradura (1-0) at Catamount (0-1) while ERG (1-0 and FMB (0-1) .
Sunsday was another cool day and damn it got hot inside the lines early Lucchese and Hardware were on fire some major action developed as Super stick Pelon and Speed Demon Hillario Uloa hooked up and it looked like a big upset in the making as Mr Stick won the field for 4 chukkars but speed kills and when HU got up to speed no one was able to stop him with all sirens going and they took the lead only to have a delay as Pelon tied it up in the last few seconds but it was only a stall for a minute as when they came back for OT it was Speed on the run and sent flag waving so they go to 2 and 0 . The day was set for excitement after this one and it came quick with the return of Scott Devon and the mighty Mike actually Scot’s first time here but back to high goal they took on the Old clan the Gracida’s using a Gracida as in Julio and made a big time game of it it was close most of the game and Son Julio could not close the door as Unc and Pop stopped them in the 6 th to win by 1 and go to 2 and 0 as well the 3rd game and feature was well attended and a very good game as ERG taking on once beaten F and M or Farmers Merchant and it was tough all the way as ERG with Scott Woods having a very good day took an early lead 3 o 1 and the 4 to 2 and 6 to 5 at the half tying the 4 th and winning the fifth but the Walkers never quit and when it came down to crunch time the 6 th was all Walker as they dominated and won the chukkar and the game by knocking in 4 and holding ERG to a 0 so Friday will be very big as the way it is now :Standing

Friday is a day you can reek revenge as it starts early at 10 A.M. it is ERG vs Catamount and ERG has to win to have a hope then at 2 P.M. it is La Herradura taking on Lucchese and that will not be easy if they do it at the club and there is a good chance if Luc. tries this will put them in the win column and Resto takes on F and M at 4 on a big field at ERG this will be a ballgame but I think it will be AS and co going on but never count the Walkers out they will run and they will have to with the speed across the line should be a big day and I say ends with a shootout .
