ALEGRIA PARK HYATT AND SANTA MARIA DE LOBOS ARE THE TWO TEAMS WHO CLASSIFIED FOR THE 114º HURLINGHAM CLUB AND ARGENTINE POLO OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS.
Alegria Park Hyatt (29 goals) beat Miramar (30 goals) 13 to 12, and together with Santa Maria de Lobos (29 goals) will take part in the 114º Hurlingham Club and the Palermo Argentine Open championships from 10/26, together with the 34 to 39 goals powerfull teams, who participate in the Tortugas Country Club Open Championship.
Santa María de Lobos lost to Alegría Park Hyatt in overtime 12 to 11, in the first two dates. Later, in the next playing day it recovered by defeating Miramar also in overtime, with the same score.
Alegría Park Hyatt, entered automatically as the first classified team for the match while Santa María de Lobos entered second, after playing against the other teams showing great perfomances to confront six great oponents.
The Australian Jack Baillieu and the argentinean Francisco Bensadón demostrated a strong offense supported by the Canadian Fredrick Mannix who was in charge of opening the scoreboard, followed by Francisco Bensadon. Immediately Miramar answered and Santiago Araya was able to score ending the chukker 3 to 1, Alegría Park Hyatt. In the second chukker Juan José Brane was very effective and responsable in ending the chukker 4-4. But the strength, speed of Baillieu helped to end the fifth chukker 11-8. After the last chukker started 12-10, Brane scored another goal, Diego Araya missed a safety, and lost all possibilities of winning.
