The Polo Report
By Steve Crowder
Friday at 11 am in Santa Barbara at the Fess Parker Double Tree Inn, the USPA meetings are exploring idea of making all Polo in the US with American rule two on all teams. If you are looking to play Polo in the future this will help all of you, so be there if you can or call your Polo Rep. who should be there. I am not saying you have to be there, I just believe it is our future. I think it will be supported if they see faces and hear voices.
Remember it is tomorrow Friday Aug. 27 ,2010

Twice the stupidity. I can begrudgingly support one American player, but two, Jesus, when did USPA turn into a job’s program for up-and-coming Americans polo players. Ayn Rand is rolling over in her grave.
TDS if you are an American then you are ok with you present way of playing with one other American professional on you staff, but if you are a foreign player and only have one American on your team then you must have two. It does not mean that you have to hire two Americans if you are American. Two American players per team not three. Four would be ideal in my eyes but it is a foriegn market so just keep your present American player and go enjoy your polo.
Pologroom, thanks for the explanation, I didn’t glean this info from original article. I am American, and I don’t play high-goal polo, so this rule does not affect me either way. Nonetheless, I am not a fan of carefully worded rules that apply to a few non-American patrons.
USPA sounds like the far left Liberal Party. The UPA government needs to stop manipulating polo and concentrate on finding soberquality umpires. Americans need to just stay focused and work harder.
I played in La martona, La martina, Las acacias, Rancho taxco, Las tunas, Open doors, Lagartos, San diego, La CaƱada, El metejon, between others…
