Indio, CA: Hot and muggy, but a lot of fun, the annual Chupacabra Cup was played at the Empire Polo Club this past weekend. Under the organizational eye of Vicki Owens, there were 3 teams. Vicki set them up very fairly and all three teams were rated at zero goals..summer high-goal! Arturo Gutierrez lent his umpiring skills and Bill Atkinson was our ever-faithful scorekeeper. Two days of round-robin play resulted in close scores between the three teams, with the Locals squeaking out an overall win on net goals.
