Thermal, CA (April 6, 2008) – By virtue of an 8 – 6 win over Hidden Creek/La Quinta on Sunday, at the La Quinta Polo Club, Tri Tech/Corleone won the La Quinta Cup.
Taking a handicap award of one at the start, the Jake Devane (replacing Chris Maloney)/Bill Freeman group waisted little time and led by three after the first period (3 – 0) and never trailed during the entire game.
The scoring for the winners was split almost evenly with Devane, Fergus Gould, and Gaston von Wernich getting two each as Freeman had one.
Sean Keys led the scoring for Hidden Creek/La Quinta with three markers while Kimo Huddleston had two and Jesse Bray one.
At the time of this writing, it was thought that La Quinta would feature one more weekend of polo for the 2008 season.
