This is a story often heard in sports , some one playing against their teenage idol well this is a story like that. All through the 90’s Mariano Gonzalez,Joe Henderson and Julio Zavaleta were the big sticks out here who were always on the West Coast . It was around 1995 when Mariano took Jason under his wing with the Duende Team and Captain Mike Hakan at 10 years old they would win untold numbers of 12 goals from Santa Barbara to Indio then in 2001 with Pat Nesbit and the Windsor Capital team they headed to Texas and along with Adam Snow swept the Silver Cup and Texas Open . Along the way soon after Mariano disappeared to Florida and came in the Summers as well as Adam often and they often needed a 0 goal player or 1 to replace Patrons out of town guess who filled in young Santi Torres for Duende, Antelope and maybe even Windsor Cap. Now is now and tomorrow at 3 PM Fl. time these two young guns of Ca. and Scott Woods ERG team will battle there old heroes as an they try to beat the old masters really not that old and their undefeated Equuleus team and get a place in the final 4 of the Ylvisaker Cup its only 3252 miles away from where it started . I wish them all a good and safe game but I would prefer a West side victory . All seems to be going well on this side of the Country as the weather seems more like June without the fog cool nights and sunny warm days the flowers are trying to bloom and it is only 50 days into winter so either we are lucky or its on the way .
Down in Indio the Empire / Twin Palms seem to be moving well for 1 st year and getting ready to get much bigger with the 100 grand Champions Cup over the weekend just past it was in the 10 goal :
Steve Armour and Shanghai stopping Trinity and then falling to Gypsy/Stormcat so they are 1 – 1
Susan Figi/Craig Stenke had a bye on Friday so they are so Gypsy Stormcat 1 – 0
Robin and Rick showed little on Friday but stormed back on Sinday to stop Monteverd/Tri Tech 1 – 1
Monteverde/TrTech lost a big one to Empire Polo and then Trinity so Monteverde is 0 – 2
Empire Polo had a moment and smoked M/TT and then had a bye so like Gypsy are 1 – 0
Unable to get results on 8 goal @ El Dorado must be a secret League so do not blame me I think this week is a finals but not sure
