In the UK its time for the quarter-finals of the Queen’s Cup. On Saturday it will be Defending champs Loro Piano vs. Grey Hurst which has Ruki Bailieau adding a touch of California. Ape Hill, an all-English team, vs. Azzaura which has a Northern California connection. Ellerston on Sunday, who Tom Barrack of Piocho played for, takes on the Lovelocks with a 10-goaler named Lolo who never made it here, but played in Indio, CA a couple of years. He was 18 and 7-goals then. Les Lions vs Sumarya and they may not know where Ca. is To the East in NY its a bunch of Ca. deserters only because they get paid to be pros.
In Greenwich PC, Miguel and Santi Torres are playing. In Mashomack its Mariano “Guti and Henry , Clemente and Augi all Zavaleta’s and Ernie all playing and in the Hamptons its Mariano G after the UK . Its really sad but I do believe in the West Coast I just do not know why we have absolutley no motivation for a better world of polo is it because polo is such a low classed exhibition of poor taste run down facilities and old people we cannot grow or is it we are to poor to compete with the rest of the country . We have 5 temas in the 12 goal in SB one is a charity team and SD has four in the 10 and they are mostly two patron teams but it is polo and a job. The only Polo showing intrest is the good polo at 20 goals SB has 8 teams however there are 6 from somewhere else and the locals are recent in the last 5 years . The life of a polo person is diminishing faster than the Roadrunners and there is no beep beep to stop it as of yet her in Ca. WHY?
see ya
