Junior Achievement of the Bay Area to host “Polo in the Wine Country” at the Wine Country Polo Club at Oakmont on September 24th.
Santa Rosa, CA Sept. 24th, 2006 1:00-4:00 pm — It’s time again for a day at the Polo fields, where an amazing sport, beautiful scenery, and wonderful people come together to have a great time while raising funds to support the programs of Junior Achievement of the Bay Area’s Napa & Redwood Empire District.
Even if you don’t know Polo from Ping-Pong, you will be scoring huge points for local students’ education just by attending! This year, the 14th annual ‘Polo in the Wine Country’ event will be on Sunday, September 24h from 1 – 4 p.m. This event features two polo matches with a break for halftime entertainment and a champagne divot stomp sponsored by Korbel Champagne Cellars! In addition, there will be gourmet food, premium wine and beer tasting, live jazz, a silent auction and fabulous raffle prizes. All proceeds will benefit Junior Achievement.
Admission is $40 if purchased prior to the event or $45 at the door and includes a souvenir wine glass, premium wine and beer tasting, and access to a gourmet dessert bar.
