Winners of these games will play in the Bombardier Pacific Coast Open FINAL @ 3 p.m.

Losers will play in the Consolation Match for the Western Badge and Trophy Cup @ 1 p.m.

4 pm Wednesday, August 16, 2006
It was Duende over Mansour by a hair – 11 to 10. Duende’s bullet, Agustine Merlos (10) made 8 goals, 5 from the penalty lines; and Paco de Narvaez shot in 3 goals. It was Merlos who made the winning goal in overtime with a penalty shot.

Mansour’s Martin Zegers (5) scored 6 goals for his team, half from the penalty lines; Julian Daniels (6) and Adam Snow (9) each made 2 goals.

11 am Friday August 18, 2006
Windsor Capital trounced Grants Farm/Klentner Ranch 17 to 8 in the first game on Friday. Jeff Hall (8) was ablaze scoring 10 goals, 3 were penalty shots; Chris Nevins (4) made 4 goals – all penalty shots; and Sugar Erskine (7) shot in 3 goals, 1 a penalty shot.

For Grants Farm/Klentner Ranch, Mariano Gonzalez (8) shot in 6 goals, 4 were penalty shots; patrons Andy Busch (5) and Justin Klentner (1) each made 1 goal.

In a hard-fought game, Jimmy Choo managed to hold onto its lead and won over Audi Polo 12 to 11. Nick Roldan (8) for Choo made 5 goals, 1 a penalty shot; Ruki Baillieu (7) managed to knock in 4 goals, 1 from the penalty line; and Brandon Philips shot in 3 goals. In the third and sixth chukkers, Roldan was called on technicals.

Audi’s Kris Kampsen (6) scored 4 goals, all penalty shots; Pablo Spinachi (6) scored 3 goals; patron Marc Ganzi (1) scored 2 goals and Juan Bollini (7) made 2 goals, 1 a penalty shot. While in the 5th chukker, Bollini came off his horse but returned to play.

In another nose-to-nose game, Mansour managed to win out by one point over Antelope/Long Beach 11 to 10. Mansour’s teammates Julian Daniels (6) and Martin Zegers (5) were equally powerful knocking in 5 goals each, only 1 of Daniels’ was a penalty shot; Adam Snow (9) scored 1 goal. Snow had a technical called on him in the third chukker.

Antelope/Long Beach’s Luis Escobar (7) made 6 goals, 2 were penalty shots; Dan Walker (4) shot in 3 goals; and patron Geoff Palmer (1) made 1 goal. Both, Luis Escobar and Pancho Bensadon (8), were called on technicals in the fourth chukker.

Today’s games were proof that the games aren’t over until they’re over.
Windsor Capital scored an amazing defeat over Duende 13 to 11, and what a game it was! Sugar Erskine (7) gave an outstanding performance shooting in 10 goals, 3 were penalty shots; J.J. Gonzalez (1) was in playing for patron Pat Nesbitt, and made 1 goal; Jeff Hall (8) was held to 1 goal; and Chris Nevins shot in 1 goal from the penalty line. Agustine Merlos (10) Duende’s powerhouse was on his game making 10 goals, nearly all of those, 9, were penalty shots; Paco de Narvaez (9) made 1 goal, a penalty shot. Both, Merlos and de Narvaez, were called for technicals in the first and second chukkers, respectively.

Keeping the upset theme running, Mansour (man-sore) made headway today winning over Jimmy Choo 9 to 6. Mansore’s Martin Zegers, scored 4 goals, 2 from the penalty lines; Adam Snow (9) shot in 3 goals; and patron Ben Soliemani (a) made 1 goal; and his replacement Doug Blumenthal (A) in the fourth chukker made 1 goal.

Jimmy Choo’s traditional high goal scorers were held back, Ruki Baillieu (7) made 3 goals, 2 were penalty shots; Nick Roldan (8) made only 2 goals; and Brandon Philips (5) shot in 1 goal. In the fifth chukker, Roldan was called on a technical.

3 pm Sunday August 20, 2006
Pushing into overtime for the victory, Grants Farm/Klentner Ranch won by 1 point, 11 to 10, over Audi Polo. Grants Farm/Klentner Ranch’s Mariano Gonzalez (8) shot in 7 goals, 4 were penalty shots; patron Andy Busch (5) made 2 goals, while patron Justin Klentner (1) and Jeff Blake (6) each made 1 goal. It was Mariano’s who shot in the winning overtime goal.
Audi’s Kris Kampsen (6) made an amazing 9 goals, 7 of which were penalty shots; Juan Bollini (7) made 1 goal.
