World superstar polo player A.C. (Adolfo Cambiaso) showed up in Florida and did the same as he did last time he was seen here. A.C. scored the winning goal in a big game in Florida for the 26-goal season. He figures to be a real part of it again as the Crab Orchard team will no doubt be one of the favorites for the title of best in the USA.
Out here in California, where things are done a little differently, it was a perfect polo day. It was 74 degrees and not a hint of wind or a cloud in the sky. The dust was even less as a new concept has started . . . run the water truck all day it really helps. On the polo side of things it was Bullet Bob (Bob Jornayvaz) from Colorado and his Valiente squad getting another WIN as they started out with 2 Losses. Now Valiente has 3 straight wins, so they can be in very good shape for the semi round. The Hawks are now tied for 1st, I think, with others which we will post later today as this is the last round. Windsor is finished with a 4 & 2 with a win over JRD/Washington Lettuce. Lance Hughes filled in for the Governor (Pat Nesbitt) and bad news is John Welsh who filled in Friday for Pat Nesbitt has a broken clavicle. I guess he was not just whining when he said he did not want to finish, but he did. All of the other teams finish the first set today.
In the 8-goal it was Parklane out running the Fish Creek foursome. It was OCPOLO8 stopping TrueChoice/Summerland.
