The Polo Report
by Steve Crowder
It was a close game for three chukkers. Restoration Hardware (RH) jumping out early by 2, but Farmers & Merchants Too (FM2) was back in it by the first bell and ended up 3 to 1. In the second, Henry and the boys powered it up. They took the lead and could have had more points as they missed a #3 and a #4 penalty. They shut out RH and led at the end of two 4 to 3. The third chukker was very good. Jason Crowder scored 6 goals with 1 from the penalty line. FM2 equaled them all from the field and led at 1/2 time by one 7 to 6. A big 1/2 time with a great crowd and perfect weather for polo. It was about 70 with an ocean breeze. It was perfect.
A bit of changing on a couple of details by Adam Snow turned on the headlights for the Restoration Guns. Jason, Costi, Ben and Santi all scored this chukker. The horses of RH just dominated this chukker. This was the game and they scored 5 unanswered goals and did not even look back as they added 2 more in the 5th to lead in the 6th by 5. RH finished the game in the 6th Jason adding 2 more from the penalty line and it was time to celebrate. They did celebrate with the big old Pacfic Coast Open trophy in their hands. Congratulations Restoration Hardware. Big Ben proved he could change. It must be that new Lady in his life. He
is playing amazing and taking every man on like a young gun. The PCO is still the biggest on the West Coast, but it needs to grow and work its way back up to 20. I think it can with some planning and leadership.
WELL DONE RH:
